Laurel Tiled Fireplace Insert
The Laurel tiled fireplace insert is an authentic reproduction of an original late Victorian cast iron fireplace, dating from around 1890.
The grand canopy is decorated with a fruit and urn detail and is made to look all the more prominent by the connecting pillars that run down to the strong basket at the foot of the opening. The basket is designed with simple lines and three bars. Between the opening and the frame sits a line of angled tile panels, bringing the Laurel to life. The frame itself is decorated with a sequence of 10 single leaves on the top, left and right of the square body.
The insert is fitted with tile spacers allowing a variety of options to complete the inserts appearance by adding any of our Carron tubelined fireplace tiles.
Available in traditional black or highlight polish finish, it can be used for solid fuels with the optional ash pan (HEF037) or be fitted with our gas fires.
The fireplace insert can be fitted with any of our standard fireplace surrounds and mantels.
The Laurel tiled fireplace is produced by Carron.
What is a ‘fireplace insert’?
A fireplace insert is the main body of a fireplace and requires a separate surround to go with it. The insert is a decorative cast iron plate produced in a mould. The mould is often arched but can be square, plain, ornate or with spaces for fireplace tiles. Individual components are cast for the back section, grate and bars, which are either bolted or slotted together.
Price is for the cast iron insert only. Surrounds, tiles and hearths sold separately.
This cast iron fireplace is extremely heavy and comes in several pieces requiring assembly. Due to the size and weight of this product, the fireplace will be delivered on a palletised delivery service. All pallet deliveries are kerbside/front door delivery only, so please arrange adequate means to take your order into your home. Under normal circumstances this may require 2 people.
