Combination fireplaces are all in one cast iron fireplaces and include Georgian fires, Victorian fires and Edwardian fireplaces. The reproduction antique combination fireplaces are all in one. The fires just require a few fixings (not supplied) to secure them to the wall. The fireplaces are limited by size due to the casting process and weight of the cast. Combinations are generally more suited to bedrooms, dining rooms and drawing rooms. Some of the casts are quite substantial and will suit living rooms, but can be rather heavy.
Styles include plain and simple Art Deco fires as well as overly ornate Victorian Gothic. Fires with tile runners to the sides were popular in the late Victorian to Edwardian period around 1895 – 1910. These can be fitted with any of our Carron 6″ tiles. All fires will require a hearth, which we can supply in either polished or honed granite in various sizes.
