Honed Granite Hearths

Solid and sectional black honed granite hearths with a non-reflective finish. Honed granite resembles slate but without the high maintenance associated with it as slate requires regular oiling.

Solid hearths are suitable for use with gas fires and decorative use only. Sectional 4 piece hearths can be used with all fuel types including solid fuels.

The glued joints on 4 piece hearths allow for movement caused by expansion or contraction due to the heat from the fire.

When choosing a fireplace hearth, we suggest the width to be between the fireplace base width and shelf width.

Hearths must be fitted on a bed of mortar which helps to draw heat from the granite and prevents cracking.
